Without it, you risk poor cleaning results, unexpected downtime, and costly repairs. This guide covers everything you need to know to keep your ultrasonic cleaner performing like new

Daily Maintenance (5 Minutes That Save Years)

After Each Use:

  1. Drain the tank – Never leave dirty solution sitting overnight. Contaminants can settle, harden, or become chemically active, potentially corroding the tank .

  2. Rinse and wipe dry – Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe the interior. This removes any remaining residues and prevents water spots or mineral buildup .

  3. Inspect the tank – Look for any signs of discoloration, pitting, or unusual deposits that might indicate chemical incompatibility.

  4. Leave the lid off – Allow the tank to air dry completely before closing, preventing moisture entrapment and bacterial growth.

Critical Daily Rule: Never Run Empty

This cannot be overstated: Never operate the cleaner without liquid. Running dry for even seconds can permanently damage the transducers. Always check that the liquid level covers the transducers (usually marked on the tank side) before starting .

Weekly Maintenance (15-20 Minutes)

1. Deep Clean the Tank

Even with regular rinsing, a thin film of residue can accumulate. Once a week:

  • Fill with warm water and a mild, neutral detergent

  • Run for 10-15 minutes

  • Drain and rinse thoroughly

  • For stubborn mineral deposits, use a 5% citric acid solution (run 10 minutes, then rinse) 

2. Perform the Aluminum Foil Test

This simple test verifies your cavitation is uniform and strong:

  1. Cut a piece of standard aluminum foil slightly larger than your tank

  2. Suspend it vertically in the tank (not touching the bottom)

  3. Run for 2-3 minutes

  4. Remove and inspect: Uniform pitting and erosion across the submerged area indicates good cavitation. Large smooth areas suggest dead spots where transducers may be failing .

3. Inspect and Clean the Drain System

  • Check the drain valve for leaks

  • Clear any debris from the drain screen

  • Run water through to ensure free flow 

4. Check the Transducers (If Accessible)

Listen for any unusual noises. Healthy transducers produce a steady, consistent "fizzing" sound. Intermittent or grinding noises may indicate loosening or damage 

Monthly Maintenance


1. Thorough Exterior Cleaning

--Wipe down all surfaces, including control panel
--Check power cord for damage
--Clean ventilation openings to prevent overheating 

2. Inspect Seals and Gaskets

--Check any rubber seals (around lids, drains) for:
--Cracks or hardening
--Signs of leakage
--Proper seating
--Replace any compromised seals immediately .

3. Verify Temperature Calibration

--Use an independent thermometer to verify that displayed temperature matches actual tank temperature. ±2°C is acceptable; greater deviation may require calibration .

4. Check Solution Filtration (If Equipped)

--Clean or replace filter elements according to manufacturer specifications. Clogged filters reduce flow and cleaning effectiveness

Annual Professional Maintenance


Even with excellent daily care, an annual professional inspection is recommended:

--Full electrical safety check (grounding, insulation)
